Conceal Carry Tank Top Review

Conceal Carry Tank Top Review
I love this conceal carry tank top so much that I was willing to bare it all for you to see it!

If you don’t already have a conceal carry tank top, you are missing out sister!  In my opinion, this product is the single most valuable conceal carry product for women on the market today.  What woman doesn’t love and wear tank tops? Whoever invented this product deserves mucho kudos from all of us.

I chose to buy and review the original UnderTech Undercover conceal carry tank top because I already own a pair of their conceal carry leggings and love them.  This brand gets extra bonus points because the ladies in the Secret Service, FBI, TSA and other government law enforcement agencies and police departments have been wearing these for years.  I can’t believe I didn’t discover this tank sooner.  It truly fits like a second skin and securely holds my carry pistol better than any holster I have ever owned.

Conceal Carry Tank Top — Sizing

I love this tank so much, that I actually agreed to taking and posting a photo in it, fat rolls and all.  When you go to the website to order this item, all of the models are fit and fabulous looking. Not that I have anything against that, but I want you to know that no matter what your size, this tank will work for you! It comes in sizes from extra small to 3x.   According to the size chart, I ordered a medium, and I haven’t been a medium for 30 years.  But it fits perfectly!  It is supposed to be a little snug, as it is a “compression” tank.  This is because it needs to be able to support and hold your firearm securely.  It gets 5 stars for exceeding my expectations!

Conceal Carry Tank Top — Features

Those of you who have read my review on conceal carry leggings know that my two biggest concerns with them were lack of trigger protection and the fact that they were not ambidextrous.  While this conceal carry tank still has no trigger protection, it does come with dual holster pockets. One on each side.  Because I cross draw, this is awesome!  I carry my pistol in the left holster, and carry 2 loaded magazines in the right holster.  You could instead carry your phone in the extra holster, but I prefer to carry extra magazines.  Just a few days ago, I was at the range and showed a shocked couple this conceal carry tank.  They had no idea what I had under my shirt.  Win.

There are so many other great features of this conceal carry tank.  It is moisture wicking, so it keeps you cool.  Proudly made in the USA, it comes in 4 colors:  white, black, nude, and ice blue.  But the best thing of all is that you no longer have to worry about using a public bathroom and “dropping your pants with a firearm in your belt.”  Win again.  Laugh and roll your eyes if you wish, but this has been a real struggle for many women who conceal carry on their person and not in a purse.  Myself included.

Conceal Carry Tank Top —Improvements

The only thing needed to make this tank top the perfect conceal carry method for women is to add trigger guard protection.  I am sold on the Um Tactictal trigger guard shield.  I carry an M&P shield, but these guards are made for nearly all types and brands of pistols.  The trigger guard simply snaps onto the trigger area of the firearm.  To ensure easy removal of the guard upon drawing, simply tie the included paracord onto your bra or anything else (belt loop) securely.  When you draw, the cord releases the guard and leaves your pistol ready to fire.

This trigger guard also works well on belly bands and conceal carry leggings.  It is small, and easily fits into all of my many soft sided holsters.  At a mere cost $12.80, I am fully protected against accidental discharge.

Conceal Carry Tank Top — Conclusion

Do yourself a favor and buy this tank top,  You will not be disappointed.  While the cost is a bit high at $60, the comfort and peace of mind that comes with it is priceless.  Your attitude toward conceal carrying will change forever, I promise.  As with any new conceal carry method, please practice drawing and dry firing with your new set up. You must be completely familiar and comfortable with how it works.  Don’t wait until a dire situation occurs to try and figure it out.  Every second counts.

First of all you look awesome in the tank ! As many time as we’ve been together I’ve never seen you in a tank. But, you’ve hit a home run on selling me a tank. Now, to get me up there to shoot with you. Good Job

Thank you for the compliment, but we both know I’m a little soft. You will love this tank. It was made for what we do. As for range time, all you have to do is slip away from your busy livestock and chicken life one day. Let me know.

Are the holsters built in or just made to carry whatever holster you have? I just wasn’t sure how that would work with my .38 special since revolvers are usually thicker than a semi-automatic would be. Would I be able to use it for that?

The holsters are built in the tank. My kydex holster for my semi would not fit into the pocket holster on the shirt, but the trigger guard I have for it did just fine. An additional holster is unnecessary with this tank. That is the beauty of it! The compression fabric and retention strap hold the pistol very securely. I feel fairly certain that I could turn a cartwheel with it on, and the gun would not move.

With a revolver, trigger guard protection is not as critical as long as your hammer is resting on an empty cylinder. Revolvers generally have heavy trigger pulls as well, so while the possibility of an accidental discharge is always possible, it is not very probable with your gun.. It is true that revolvers are thicker, but I believe this could work for you too. Only you will be able to decide if it is comfortable. You could try clipping your current holster on a regular tank top or your bra strap to kind of “get the feel” of what it is going to be like. Just remember that the conceal carry tank makes the pistol feel weightless and the fabric on the outside will protect your skin from chafing. You will not experience this with a regular tank trying it out.

One more thing. The way this tank works is by utilizing our natural curves. While it looks like the pistol is being carried under the arm, the actual grip of it lays against the bosom away from the armpit. I am amazed at how comfortable carrying this way is. I never have to adjust it! If you get one and don’t like it, you could always send it back for a refund. Or use it as an excuse to go by a semi auto!

That sounds great! I think I might go buy me both a tank top and a semi auto! 😂 Thanks for the information!
